Duties and responsibilities:
The Project Engineer wwill provide technical engineering inputs for TEPS water construction and assessment, reporting of the constructions/rehabilitation projects in TEPS operating areas and provide technical input to the project proposals design, planning and execution and monitoring of the construction & rehabilitation projects as undertaken by DT Global (DTG) and or DTG implementing Partners (IPs) Provide Environmental and Social impact Assessment reports (ISEAs) for DT global projects, the reports should assessing and documenting both negative and positive Environmental and social impacts during all DT Global projects phases and propose measures for mitigations, Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

Manage the engineering projects in close coordination and collaboration with Regional Team Leaders, Regional Advisors and Grants, Finance and Operations Managers

Provide quality engineering support and oversight of construction and other projects as deemed necessary that will be implemented under TEPS Blue Nile, West Kordofan, S. Kordofan, and five Darfur states, Kassala, Gadarif, Red Sea state and Abyei

Prepare timetable and time estimation for phases of the project under implementation

Monitor project implementation in the targeted areas as needed.

Analyze requests for engineering works, carry out assessments and prepare reports with recommendations for follow up action

Makes frequent inspections of engineering project to ensure compliance with plans, specifications and policies

Resolves in coordination with relevant stakeholders conflicts and or problems rise by communities from the engineering projects where possible and recommends any probable or desirable changes

Ensures that all complaints and requests for information are handled promptly and properly

Gathering compiling and analyzing information relating to water sanitation and habitat conditions of affected population
Deliverables, Responsibilities and Schedule of Payments:

Conduct site visits to provide and verify technical information include but not limited to photos, site coordinates, croaky etc

Reporting, both orally and in writing to the TEPS DCOP or his designee

Monitor projects implementation

Prepare Bill of Quantities to the construction materials and participate in bidding selection processes

Participate in the preparation of contractual documents and ensures that procedures and confidentiality are respected

Provide technical advices in other relevant projects
-
Determine the timeframe of projects milestones.

Payment will be per assignment requested

Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:
-
Master or minimum B.Sc. in engineering university degree
-
Minimum of four to six years’ relevant professional experience.

Experience working on social or political development projects required and experience identifying, developing and managing projects for an international organization preferred
-
In-depth Knowledge of the communities where TEPS is operating and the ability to identify potential interventions that will contribute toward program strategy and objective.

Demonstrated oral and written fluency in Arabic and English is required; a written and oral test will be administered to assess English capabilities
-
Demonstrated computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Office, including Access and Excel, and web-based information management tools required.
