 Supervisor: Supply Chain Officer – Blue Nile

 Background:

SUMMARY:

Under the managerial and technical supervision of the Supply Chain Officer, the Warehouse/Supply Chain Assistant will be responsible for the overall management of the RI Warehouse in Damazin, including all health, nutrition, WASH and program support supplies and stock.  S/he will ensure proper stock management, tracking all stock arriving and leaving the warehouse through the appropriate RI stock in/out procedures.  S/he is responsible for setting up and maintaining warehouse organization system, ensuring all stock is separated by donor and project.  In addition, S/he will support the Logistics/IT Officer – Blue Nile with implementation of routine logistics and procurement tasks as necessary



 
 Duties and responsibilities:

Under the technical supervision of the Supply Chain Officer, the Warehouse Assistant will:

 

Warehouse/Store management

  • Receipt of goods and supplies procured by use of appropriate documentation by use of stock cards & bin cards, GRNs and ensuring goods received are confirmed by the user department.
  • Ensure proper storage of goods delivered in the store to ensure safety from damages and spoilage.
  • Ensure proper inventories for goods by through weekly stock count and monthly stock update and share inventory reports with user department and the line manager.
  • Assist any other logistical staff and other program support staff on various tasks as directed, including, but not limited to, stock control, document preparation
  • Manages supplies request and process dispatches using appropriate documentations and verification from the end user.

 

Other duties as assigned by the supervisor or Project Manager.


 
 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

  • A Bachelor’s degree is required and Master’s degree will be plus in a related field.
  • 2-3 years’ experience with an international NGO in similar position.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Fluent in English and in Arabic oral and written.
  • Honest and trustworthy
  • Computer skills and office management skills.
  • Human Relation skills, including integrity and ability to work with minimum supervision and under pressure preferred.
