 Background:

The role is to provide digital communications technical support for the National Office (NO). It focuses on strengthening the NO’s brand visibility, engage wider audiences and promote the impact of its work through digital storytelling, content creation and strategic social media coordination.

The role manages reputational risks whilst building on and protecting World Vision established credibility and trust, within the country and throughout the Partnership whilst delivering on key communications and public engagement initiatives that ignite staff, content and global voices.



 
 Duties and responsibilities:

Digital and Social Media Management: 

  • Develop video, image and text  content for Support Office, GC and RO use, for social media and online channels (including wvi.org), including the ENOUGH Campaign, that highlights community and child voice, humanitarian need, WV response and impact, and is responsive to breaking news events. 
  • Support the daily management of World Vision Sudan social media channels by scheduling, posting and monitoring content.
  • Coordinate closely with operations and programme colleagues to gather stories, photos, and updates for content planning.
  • Monitor trends, content and creative strategies and feed it back to strengthen the digital strategy and improve the performance of World Vision Sudan social media channels.
  • Hands-on with reel/shorts making and editing preferably any of the AI or design tools (Canva, InShot, Premier Pro) 

 

Content Creation and Storytelling

  • Coordinate the development of high-quality multimedia content – images, reels, carousels, stories – tailored for different platforms.
  • Conduct on-the-job phone shoots and edit simple field-based videos.
  • Support in documenting World Vision Sudan’s projects activities through field stories, testimonials, and short-form videos.
  • Devise and develop compelling visual concepts to effectively communicate key messages across stories, programmes, campaigns and thematic content.

 

Internal Communications

  • Coordinate updating the World Vision Sudan website with relevant content: programme updates, publications, media releases, campaign content, etc.
  • Supporting other divisions/functions document project/program experiences, publicise their work within the WV Partnership and on WV Sudan website.
  • Support to other WV Sudan department with editing, photography, publications and production of IEC materials.
  • Suggest new ideas to implement on World Vision Sudan and SCRAMER page on dissemination of stories/ programmes/ campaigns or thematic content within the possibility of the domain.

Branding & visibility: 

  • Advise on branding and visibility  guidelines for the response; advise Programmes and Partnership on these guidelines and ensure they’re reflected in donor and partnering agreements, and adhered to within the field office. 
  • Support on any associated trainings.

Partnership Communications & Coordination: 

  • Support on reviewing reports, drafting key partnership information pieces to keep RO, GC, SOs and other field teams informed on response updates and news.
  • Support on managing MS Teams channels as required.

 
 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

  • Content Creation: Skillsin writing, editingand producing contentfor various channelslike social media,newsletter publication, websites
  • Digital Storytelling: Experience in managing media relations, handling PR crises, engagement with communities and other stakeholders for story gathering
  • Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects, timelines and demands
  • Event Planning: Organizing and promoting events from small meetings to large conferences
  • Graphic and Digital designing
  • A Bachelor’s degree in fields like Communications, Journalism, Digital Communications/Marketing or any related discipline
  • Strong communication skills both writtenand verbal proficiency
  • Strong multimedia and graphic design expertise 
  • Ability to produce compelling content for various mediums
  • Digital savvy 

  • Based in the Port Sudan with expectations to travel to the different project sites across Sudan.
  • English and Arabic
