 Background:

Job Summary:
The Project Assistant will support the implementation of project activities at the field level under the SHF funded integrated response in Jebel Awlia. The role involves direct engagement with communities, logistica support to field activities, and close coordination with the CARE team and implementing partner staff. The assistant will play a vital role in mobilization, beneficiary registration, distributions, monitoring, and documentation. This position ensures that activities are delivered on time and in compliance with CARE and donor guidelines.
 



 
 Duties and responsibilities:

1. Field Implementation Support:

- Assist in organizing and conducting field-level FSL activities including cash distributions, livelihoods training, IGA support, and input delivery.
- Support verification and registration of beneficiaries.
- Ensure proper crowd control and documentation during distributions.
- Provide day-to-day logistical and operational support during implementation.

2.Program Community Mobilization:-
- Mobilize communities and coordinate with local leaders and community committees.
- Support awareness-raising activities and orientation sessions.
- Help ensure that beneficiaries are informed about their rights and entitlements.
- Support in gathering community feedback and ensuring participation of vulnerable groups.
3.Monitoring and
Documentation (20%)
- Assist in collecting data, filling distribution forms, attendance sheets, and activity reports.
- Support M&E team in conducting surveys and post-distribution monitoring.
- Ensure proper filing and storage of project documents and photos.
4. Administrative and Logistics Support (10%
- Support procurement and logistics in preparing for work.
- Assist in preparing payment lists, arrangements, and other admin tasks.
- Ensure materials are delivered to the field and properly tracked.


 
 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

Required Qualifications and Competencies:-
- Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or a related field.
- At least 1–2 years of experience supporting humanitarian or development projects.
- Experience in cash distribution, livelihoods, or community mobilization is an advantage.
- Good communication skills and ability to work with diverse communities.
- Basic skills in data collection and reporting.
- Fluency in Arabic; basic English is an advantage.
Languages:
• Fluency in English and Arabic is required.
