Background: Job Title : Protection Assistant ( CBP) DRC Sudan DRC has been present in Sudan since 2004, delivering life-saving programming in protection, emergency response, shelter, food security and livelihoods, disaster risk reduction, camp management, and humanitarian mine action. DRC has implemented projects in Central Darfur, South Darfur, South Kordofan, Gedaref, Kassala, and Khartoum states. Sudan hosts one of the largest displaced populations in Africa, with over 3.7 million internally displaced people and over 1.1 million refugees from South Sudan, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Central African Republic, Chad, Yemen and Syria. Against a background of political crisis, Sudan faces economic and social turmoil, with sharp increases in food and energy costs, further exacerbated by disease outbreaks and ongoing conflict.
About the job The Protection Assistant CBP is responsible for implementing community-based protection activities, including the establishment and capacity building of Community Based Protection Networks, Protection Monitoring, Awareness activities, Individual Protection Assistance, Community Protection Assistance, support to local partner organizations and collective PSS. The Protection Assistant is expected to develop positive relationships with individual beneficiaries, community mobilizers and focal points and other stakeholders so as to ensure to the efficiency of DRC’s outreach strategy and overall intervention.J |

Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:
Knowledge of the humanitarian context in Sudan and of the issues related to conflict and displacement. Computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and basic report writing ability Education background: University Degree in the field of social sciences, humanitarian affairs, international law, development or any other related field Languages: Fluency in written and spoken Arabic. Basic written and spoken English
