 Background:

Elnefeidi Group is a holding company for a diverse group of businesses operating in sectors such as transportation, automotive sales and maintenance, tyre retreading and property development. We are in the process of consolidating our subsidiaries into a group framework and require dedicated and experienced professionals to assist us in achieving this objective.

 

Job Purpose:

 

Plan, oversee and monitor all the policies, strategies and testing methodology to meet regulatory authority compliance in regard to the Mena Dates products. They also assist in setting quality standards and ensure that production is maintained at such standards. Additionally, they compute formulas, percentages or production specific factors using chemical and mathematical procedures.
Will also be responsible for legal requirements (as they pertain/relate to food safety) and customer expectations are met.

 



 
 Duties and responsibilities:

  • Develops, implements, and manages processes to ensure that products meet required specifications of FSMS and quality standards prior to delivery.
  • Communicates FSMS, quality standards and parameters to their team, product development team, and other appropriate staff.
  • Coordinates product-testing processes.
  • Establish methods and control measures to eliminate food safety hazards/ threats along the food chain.
  • Establish and update the HACCP Plan and ensure system implementation and maintenance
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, local, and organizational laws, regulations, guidelines, and policies.
  • Establish standards for supplier selection, supplier validation and supplier monitor performance trends.
  • Develops and implements inspection policies and procedures, and a schedule of routine inspections to cover the chain value of Mena dates 
  • Organizing and developing relevant training sessions based on the gap analysis conducted to their subordinates to cover FSMS and other relevant topics. 
  • Monitors compliance with FSMS procedures.
  • Reviews client, customer, and supplier’s feedback.
  • Develop and monitor documentation system, which describes the methods implemented to control the safety, integrity and quality of Mena Dates products. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemical Engineering, or field related to FSMS or F&B Industry 
  • FCCS-22000 lead auditor certification is required 
  • ISO-22000 lead auditor certification is required 
  • Certificate in food threat and food fraud is a plus 
  • Master’s degree is plus.
  • A minimum of 5-10 years’ experience in a related field required with supervisory experience.
