The Communication and Advocacy Manager is responsible for ensuring that Sadagaat activities, impact and achievements are communicated timely, consistently across the channels, with the right tone, appealing messages and appropriate content. S/he contributes to the development and growth of programs and services offered by the NGO through strategic use of marketing and communication tools. S/he provides efficient leadership, advice and oversight in all aspects of communication and marketing, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence, adopting best industry practices and providing guidance and suppot to the other departments.


Reports To: The  Communication and Advocacy Manager will report to the GM of Sadagaat directly and will be responsible for leading the marketing campaigns and efforts, the internal and external communication, and to manage the website, the social media platforms and channels..

 Duties and responsibilities:

  • Ensure clear and consistent communication of Sadagaat values, brand, strategy and impact across channels and stakeholders, aligning their expectations
  • Define and agree with the GM on the Communications, media and Projects promotion  Strategy.
  • Promote the brand and increase the visibility of the sectors.
  • Be responsible for advocacy and communication budget.
  • Define and agree with the GM on the Communication and Advocacy Plan.
  • Coordinate the overall implementation of the communication plan, including social media engagement strategy to ensure coherence of content across platforms
  • Generate web content, conceptualize and implement communications and marketing plans to project a positive image
  • Proactively create editorial content (stories, photos, infographics, film, etc.), adapting it for media pitching, web and social media, and post content to appropriate channels
  • Create/design templates for ‘standard' communication products
  • Manage all communications platforms, incl. social media, website and establish links with TV and radio Channels.
  • Act as resource person to employees on inquires related to communications and marketing to ensure compliance with established policies and standards.
  • Support Partnership and Fundraising function to launch communication campaigns
  • Support Planning and Monitoring functions in the representation of proposals and reports.
  • Support Volunteering management in attracting volunteers from online channels and marketing campaign
  • Coordinate shared campaigns with partners (private sector, other NGOs, and donors)
  • Collect stories and input from the Operation team to publish insights in the social media platforms
  • Evaluate and implement marketing tools as SEO, Google Analytics, etc.

 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

  • Education level:
    • University degree (Bachelor’s degree or equivalent) in Marketing, Management, International Cooperation, Communications and Media, Social science or related fields.


  • Experience:
    • 3+ years in Marketing and Communication positions, with professional and progressively responsible experience in social media management, communication plan, web and content design.
    • Experience in Communication, media, fundraising campaign, qualitative and quantitative analytics, graphic design, web applications and process improvement is a plus.
    • Basic knowledge and interest in brand management
    • Experience in providing strategic advice to senior-level officials is required.
    • Excellent command of written and spoken English and Arabic languages.
