Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant

 Background:

DT Global (DTG) is an implementing partner for USAID Project – Toward Enduring Peace in Sudan (TEPS).



 
 Duties and responsibilities:

Under this position responsibilities include:

 

  • Populate and regularly update the M&E tracker database
  • Assist in develop monitoring methodologies and data collection tools
  • Support the implementing partner organizations in establishing a custom-fit monitoring system suitable for the TEPS monitoring system
  • Support collaboration with implementing partners on qualitative monitoring methods to provide relevant information for ongoing evaluation of project activities, effects and impacts
  • Travel to the field and regional offices to attend grant related events to capture outputs and outcomes to assist in monitoring and evaluation activities
  • Liaise with respective implementing partners on monitoring systems and the mode to be applied
  • Ensure uniform and timely reporting of the implementing partner organizations
  • Participate in grant concept notes and proposals design (mainly log frame and other M&E aspects such as indicators)
  • Assist in conducting impact, baseline and evaluation studies.
  • Assist in conducting data analysis (qualitative and quantitative)
  • Assist in designing and updating the MEL system
  • Organize and store all back up and support documents and assist with quarterly & annual reports writing
  • Support and coordinate learning events; train and mentor staff, as appropriate
  • Input data into USAID’s TraiNet system on a regular basis
  • Assist in conducting data quality audits on a quarterly basis

 
 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

  • BA/BS in international development, sociology, law, social or political science, statistics or a related field of study
  • Experience in qualitative and quantitative data collection methods
  • One (1) to two (2) years of experience in M&E and working for an NGO and/or international development organization on development/disaster assistance programs; USAID experience preferred
  • Competences in using computer packages including Word and Excel
  • Willingness and ability to travel throughout Sudan
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and individually
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills and great attention to detail
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English
