• Administration of web-based information management platforms
• Maintenance and analysis of databases

The IT professional performs the following tasks:

1. Internet, websites

• Maintains the website and supports administration of the web-based information platform
• Works closely with the media and communication advisors in technical realization of their activities
• Supports search engine optimization
• Publishestexts, documentation and graphics/photos/videos

2. General tasks

• carries out and ensures general administration of the entire IT system
• backs up data and safeguards the system against hackers
• resolves all computer and internet problems, prepares all the necessary information and provides phone support
• ensures an IT emergency service
• ensures functioning of printers, copiers, scanners
• assists in advising on IT projects
• maintains a list of all hardware and software systems, and updates this to reflect changes
• documents the installation and settings on the server and on all computers.
• Daily support of staff with IT queries
• Ensures the IT inventory is updated on a regular basis
• Undertakes trainings

• BSc/MSc in IT
• familiarity with IT hardware and the software used, IT network systems, database software, GIZ intranet and a basic understanding of specific GIZ software (SAP, APS, AMS, PACCS, etc.)
• outstanding working knowledge of ITC and computer applications
• First working experience in development cooperation
• Excellent English skills
