 Duties and responsibilities:

  • Handle full spectrum of financial and cost accounting role e.g: AR, AP, GL, forecasting, budgeting etc.
  • Responsible for day to day finance and accounts operations.
  • Manage and oversee the entire accounting team.
  • Conduct all necessary training to keep the team’s skills and knowledge up to date.
  • Detect and address potential compliance issues proactively.
  • Maintain constant communication with state agencies, and our clients.
  • Work collaboratively with other teams to achieve shared goals.
  • Perform full set of accounts and ensure timely closing of accounts.
  • Perform project cost forecasts/budgets, cost tracking, monitoring and controls.
  • Responsible for timely monthly consolidated financial statements, payments, cash-flow management reporting for submission, review & approve payment vouchers and journal entries.
  • Perform cash flow forecasting, budgeting and working closely with the operations and project teams in analyzing margins, variances and cost analysis.
  • Issue project cost reports for review and approval.
  • Develop and maintain internal control and effective accounting system and policies for the set up.
  • Establish and maintain systems for cost-sensitivity analysis and early-warning of cost-overruns.
  • Report directly to the operations manager.

 
 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

  • Advanced degree the in relevant field, such as accounting, commerce, or business administration, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in accounting and finance.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of accounting systems and software applications, such as, MS Word and MS Excel.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, analytical and problem-solving skills, to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines consistently.
  • Ability to work in a professional and cordial manner with colleagues.
  • Fluency in English and Arabic is a must.
  • Experience with QuickBooks Accounting Software is preferred.
  • Advanced certificates (CMA, CPA, CFA and ACCA) is an added advantage.
