 Background:

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), an impartial, neutral and independent organisation striving to protect and assist the victims of war and internal violence, has been working in Sudan since 1978. The ICRC is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person for the following position in Khartoum: Supply-Chain Administrator 1/PROFILES/Invoicing

 

Purpose:

Supply-Chain Administrator 1/PROFILES/Invoicing ensures that requests handled efficiently and effectively to meet needs in the field. S/he also makes information about potential or firm orders available to other logistics staff, and those are requesting services. Also, S/He ensures uploading of all purchase documents into PROFILES - e-database for uploading of purchase documents and follows up invoices with Finance for payment.

 



 
 Duties and responsibilities:

Ÿ  Processes requisition orders according to the ICRC’s logistics and financial procedures.

Ÿ  Ensures that the priorities set by the Logistician followed.

Ÿ  Keeps those requesting services regularly informed about progress on their requests.

Ÿ  Records and files documents about the ordering process; registers and transmits claims and remarks from those requesting services.

Ÿ  Updates logistics dashboards and provides statistics.

Ÿ  Contributes to supply-chain support for an assigned geographical area or a specific group of products.

Ÿ  May act as a Statistician.

 


 
 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

Ÿ  University degree in logistics, administration or equivalent.

Ÿ  3 years previous experience in administration or within a supply-chain or logistics department.

Ÿ  Good knowledge of the supply chain and purchase

Ÿ  Good command of spoken and written English and Arabic

Ÿ  Computer literacy; good knowledge of Microsoft Office, specially, excellent in Excel

Ÿ  Knowledge of enterprise resource planning software an asset.

Ÿ  Skilled in the following competencies: Leadership, Accountability, People management, Team work & Collaboration, Representing the ICRC, Beneficiary & Client focused.
