ARTS TRAINING AND THERAPY FOR ERITREAN CHILDREN AND YOUTH IN KHARTOUM
UNHCR is seeking to hire an individual or organization who can develop a proposal and deliver a project that provides arts training and therapy for 20 to 25 Eritrean refugee children and youth dealing with trauma. These participants will be selected by UNHCR. Projects that have teachers and/or therapists who speak Tigrinya will be given priority. The total budget for the project is 168,000 SDG.

 



 
 Duties and responsibilities:

PROJECT REQUIREMENTS


The successful individual or organization will be selected upon the submission of the following requirements. Please read all the requirements carefully. Any application which does not answer all 14 requirements will not be considered.

  1. Project proposal

Please provide a written proposal covering:

  1. The types of arts training you will provide.
  2. The types of therapeutic engagement you will provide.
  3. The space where this training will occur.
  4. How will you make the training relevant for the Eritrean community in Sudan and their issues?
  5. A schedule where you meet the students a minimum of three times a week for two months beginning 2 March 2020.
  6. The teachers who will lead the sessions and their qualifications.
  7. Delivery of exhibition for students to display their art work at the end of the training.
  8. Any other components that you think are important.

 

  1. Detailed budget

The detailed budget should have costs per line and must include these essential expenses.

  1. Rent costs per hour for the classroom and therapy space.
  2. Teacher and any other salaries
  3. Costs for project materials.
  4. Cost for interpretation (if nobody speaks Tigrinya at your organization).
  5. Costs for final art exhibition.

  1. Please include a short 1 or 2 page CV on your, or your organization’s experience and qualifications in arts training and therapy.

 


 
 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO APPLY
Organizations legally registered in Sudan, and individuals can apply. The entire project budget can only be paid to the organization or individual selected.

IMPLEMENTATION TIME LINE
The project should begin implementation at the start of March 2020 and the final performance should occur at the end of April 2020.  

DEADLINE TO SUBMIT
All the requirements in the section Project Requirement should be submitted by on 15 February 2020.

HOW TO SUBMIT
All applications must be submitted in a sealed envelope to the tendering box at UNHCR Khartoum’s main entrance. No applications from other sources will be considered.

Candidate Assessments may include a written examination followed by a Competency Based Interview.
