 Background:

The UNFPA Internship Programme offers students the opportunity to acquire direct exposure to UNFPA operations. It is designed to complement primarily development-oriented studies or studies in related fields with practical experience

Applicants should have expressed interest in the field of development; ability to adapt to new environments and work with individuals from different cultural backgrounds. Interns work under the supervision of a staff member at UNFPA. The background of the interns is matched with the needs of the organization.



 
 Duties and responsibilities:

The incumbent will assist in:

 

  • Preparing payment documents.
  • Assist Administration team in daily routine work.
  • Coordinating with Field offices in term of receiving requests, follow-up on service request approval, receive of the documents and review.
  • Maintenance of files in Administrative Section
  • Assist in Asset management (Data entry, maintain files as required).
  • Arrangement of travel and hotel reservations, preparation of travel authorizations.
  • Providing Administrative support to organization of conferences, workshops, retreats
  • Other tasks requested by Administrative Associate

 


 
 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

Education:

Bachelor or a Student pursuing a Master degree

Field of study:

Business Management, Office Management, Economics

Language skills:

Written and spoken proficiency in Arabic and English

 

Financial Aspects:

 

Interns do not receive a salary from UNFPA. In addition, applicants must have medical insurance for the duration of the internship. Proof of insurance will need to be submitted before the internship begins.
