 Duties and responsibilities:


  • To manage site-construction activities to deliver Retail and head construction programs and any related activities as efficient (speed) and effective (agreed quality) as possible.
  • To supervise and manage on-site maintenance and minor Capex activities of external contractor at Retail sites to ensure an efficient (speed) and effective (quality control) maintenance service to and its Retailers
  • To ensure that agreed SHE standards are implemented.



  • To manage site based construction & Engineering activities to deliver Retail and head office construction programs, including minor CAPEX and pumps replacement projects.
  • Local customization of standard design to produce Affiliate construction drawings.
  • Site specification, costing and with CP, call tenders for Retail and head office projects and put in place local construction and maintenance contracts.
  • Local contractor management, work quality control and performance appraisals.
  • Manage projects budget, process and approve invoices.
  • Ensure agreed SHE standards are maintained.
  • Interface with local authorities to obtain planning approvals.
  • Affiliate performance measurement and reporting.
  • Maintain data base of Affiliate approved projects and drawings.
  • Draft annual maintenance plan for Affiliate in discussion with local Sales/Ops staff.
  • Capitalize all completed projects and manage updated Affiliate fixed assets data base and Evaluate effectiveness of maintenance in Affiliate

  • Implementation of Safety, Health &Environment Management System (SHEMS) in execution of maintenance works.

 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

  • Mechanical Engineering, BSC or 03 years post-secondary Diploma holder with experience of minimum 03 years or minimum 05 years’ experience respectively in engineering maintenance/and or project Management



  • Sound technical skills/business judgment/ability to negotiate.
  • Good communication skills/understanding of work processes
  • Thorough understanding of controls/policies (i.e. SHE)
  • Thorough knowledge of M&R, contracting practices and maintenance techniques

  • Safety, Health & Environment Management System (SHEMS).
