Duties and responsibilities:
The Communications Officer will:

Work with the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning team and Program Development Officers to collect information on program achievements and develop associated narratives for communication within the project, and the client.

Lead knowledge management and coordination for the office.

Gather and Synthesize information from multiple sources and producing easily digestible updates and trend analysis of the country context, and changes.

Responsible for producing reporting deliverables including, a quarterly report, annual report, bi-weekly report, and other projects as requested.

Use information in Activity Database and M&E reports to compile quick results reporting on program status and impact, as well as success stories.

As directed by the Chief of Party, establish and manage the program’s online and social media presence.

Liaise with a variety of stakeholders and entities, including government and non-government counterparts, civil society actors; other development agencies, projects, and activity representatives; and media outlets.

Present analyses and recommendations for programming, potential activities, strategy, and objectives to senior management team members

Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:
Required Qualifications:

A minimum of four years of progressively responsible relevant work experience, including social science research and analysis, journalism, or other related field.

Experience performing analysis on political and democratic transitions, political reform, and and/or conflict mitigation.

Experience working in a diverse and fast-paced environment.

Fluency in written and oral English and Arabic.

University degree in communications, business administration, political science or related field.

Relevant experience working in media, civil society, government or other donor-funded project management preferred.

Experience performing research and analysis or program reporting on a USAID program strongly preferred.
