Duties and responsibilities:
-
Supporting the Grants Manager and Regional Team Leaders in the grants development phase, with a view to ensuring that the activities proposed and budgets required are realistic and implementable.

Working with the grantees to ensure that all permits and/or authorizations that may be necessary to implement the activity are obtained in the shortest possible delay.

Monitoring the implementation of all small grants and reporting accordingly to the Grants Manager in a timely manner.

Follow-up with grantees to acquire receipts and/or acquittals for all in-kind goods and services delivered to the grantee for the implementation of the activity;

Tracking of all in country and external payments against the grant budgets.

Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:
-
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent combination
-
At least 4-6 years of experience with progressive responsibility in relief and/or development assistance, preferably with international NGOs and/or the UN agencies.

Fluency in English and Arabic, both written and spoken (essential).

Ability to engage and work with stakeholders at all levels and in a multi-cultural environment; ability to work in a team, but also with limited supervision; ability to cope with stress and to meet deadlines under pressure.

Excellent time management and organizational skills and great attention to detail.

Capable of quickly performing multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritizing and meeting deadlines.
