 Background:

Established in 2015, the Institute for Reproductive Health and Rights is a not-for-profit company operating as a social enterprise committed to promoting the reproductive and sexual well being of all Sudanese people with special attention to women, girls, youth and minorities.

 

IRH&R has four established programs

  • The Reproductive Health Program
  • Reproductive Justice and Bodily Rights Program
  • Sudan Free of FGC Program
  • Art for Change Program

 

IRH&R is a growing Institution with opportunities for young and middle level professional to join a dynamic high quality creative work environment. The Institute is planning to diversify its income streams through reaching out to new donors as well as starting new income generating streams through services and commodity production and sales

 Duties and responsibilities:

  • Work with the Director to advance and promote the current programs of the Institute with local and international donors, government departments. professional institutions and other stakeholder
  • Be part of a business development team to expand the work of the Institute into service delivery and other income generating ventures
  • Prepare budgets and financial reports in collaboration with the Senior Accountant
  •  The successful applicant will be a member of the senior management team working with and reporting to the Director
  • This is a consultancy position for six months (extendable), with clear deliverables and monthly assessment for the first three months.
  • Full time commitment (five days a week) is preferable with room for flexibility on number of days per week and hours of work

 


 
 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

  • A university degree in business administration, economics, English or other social science degree
  • Interest in social development issues with a focus on women’s and adolescent health and rights
  • At least three years’ experience in NGO’s proposals and reports writing or business start up (development of a business plan)
  • Command of spoken Arabic and excellence English speaking, writing and correspondence
  • Proven time management and organizing skills as a senior team member
  • Self learner able to research and acquire new knowledge and skills
