Supply Chain Manager
AUTOBASH
AUTOBASH Co. Ltd , is the engineering arm of BASH group of companies. We are exclusive manufacturer for GEELY commercial and passenger vehicle brand in Sudan. We are looking for a qualified person to fill the following position:

 Duty Station: Khartoum
 Duration: 3 Weeks
 Closing Date: 29 Sept 2019

 
 Background:

To develop/manages/improve the full cycle of supply chain activities associated with automobile assembly and spare parts and other business related procurement and logistic operations in an optimum manner. Responsible as an interface   between suppliers and internal operations, leading issue resolution on current material supply, including corrective and preventative action plans

 



 
 Duties and responsibilities:

  • Achieves Supply Chain Management’s operational objectives by contributing to materials management information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans.
  • Responsible for Supply Chain budgeting and management of  supply chain over all operations within budget
  • Contribute to the longer term strategy for the company  from a supply chain perspective
  • Responsible for all inbound receiving inspection including dimensional analysis, reporting, containment and sorting activities.
  • Responsible for coordination of all inbound supplier’s deliveries, and expediting as needed
  • Must have an excellent analytical and planning skills to establish supply requirements.
  • Implement strategies to maintain security of supply and optimum value for money.
  • Ensure appropriate supply chain targets are achieved (Customer DSA, Inventory Turns, etc.)
  • Lead supply chain improvements in regards to cost effectiveness, and quality by establishing metrics to assess factors such as quality, cost and delivery performance .
  • Deploy, manage, monitor and improve planning supply chain processes and the associated (Service Level Agreement(s)) SLA(s).
  • Accountable to review the current suppliers/vendors  list
  • Accountable to develop a credible suppliers/vendors list.
  • Track supplier performance and provide regular feedback on their capacities & lead time and update suppliers list accordingly.
  • Exert extra efforts to build long term relationships with the suppliers that offer quality, value, a willingness to collaborate and be flexible to meet changing supply requirements.
  • Responsible for approval and coordination of supplier’s charge back process.
  • Negotiate new commercial contracts/prices and contract renewals
  • Fully responsible for managing end to end, suppliers/vendors contracts.
  • Responsible for appropriate system responses and containment for Customer complaints associated with Supply Chain failure.
  • Should motivate and develop his/her subordinate(s) and ensure that they are updated in regards to supply chain best practices.
  • Responsible for management of the company warehouse operations.
  • Liaise with other departments to ensure the effective use of available internal capacity/resources and synchronize external sources.
  • Ensure inputs to the planning processes are regularly reviewed and monitored for accuracy and corrected accordingly (inventory accuracy, ROM, BOM's, routings, shop floor order control and other master data).
  • Always liaise with the finance departments and across the organization departments to ensure accurate and timely payment of invoices after providing authorization approvals, as necessary for the business with the suppliers.
  • Responsible for communication and enforcement of Environmental, Health, Safety and Quality policies and procedures.
  • To action/do any other duties which are within the employee’s skills and abilities whenever reasonably instructed.

 


 
 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

  • Minimum 10- 15 years of experience with 5-7 years of experience in managerial capacity.
  • Bachelor’s level degree (in business, finance, engineering, supply chain management or relevant field).
  • Industrial experience in an international warehouse operations, inventory control, shipping, receiving, planning, and MRP/ERP systems required.
  • Experience in Automotive industry is preferred.
  • Accredited certification from relevant organization such as (The Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals, the Institute of Supply Management or the Institute of Supply Chain Management) is preferred.
  • Master of business Administration is an advantage.
  • Highly developed commercial negotiation skills.
  • Purchases Mastery – Strong aptitude in commercial negotiations, supplier relationship
  • Ability to plan and organize, good and sound relationship management
  • Decision making capabilities.
