 Background:

The Role of the Reporting & Compliance Officer (RCO) will be responsible for coordinating the reporting and compliances for the country program with the support of the Program Funding Reporting Coordinator (PFRC). The RCO will assist the PFRC to facilitate the production of timely, high quality reports to donors and provide colleagues with proactive advice on donor/CARE regulations and compliance for grant portfolio. The RCO will be responsible for managing the reporting schedule ensuring adequate time is given to allow for quality inputs from other departments including Programs including technical team, PDQ and Finance. The RCO will work closely with the PFRC to ensure all field offices are provided with full support in terms of reporting and compliances. S/he will also work closely with the finance team to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. The RCO will also support in terms of monitoring of program implementation as well as gathering lessons learned

 



 
 Duties and responsibilities:

Some of the duties  include but  not limited to:

  • RCO will work closely with the program and finance teams to develop standard reporting templates and tools that will support improved narrative, log frame and financial reporting
  • To coordinate among technical staff, Programs Director, PDQC  allowing adequate time for feedback ensure quality of reporting. This includes tracking and disseminating reporting schedules and templates, as well as, coordinating reviews and submitting reports to donor.
  • Maintain knowledge of grant agreement language and regulations, serving as a knowledge resource on assigned donors and escalating questions where needed
  • Build grant management capacity of field staff by facilitating trainings and providing one-on-one follow up support in report writing, donors’ compliance and other related topics.
  • Provide comprehensive feedback to field teams through reporting process in relation to donor requirements and quality reporting

 

 


 
 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline required; Master’s Degree a plus, preferably in social studies or a related field
  • 3 years of professional experience with at least two years work experience in relief or development programs
  • Demonstrable experience in grants management, including: report writing and grant monitoring..
  • Knowledge of USG and EU (ECHO/ EC/DFID/SIDA) and other donor regulations, procedures and requirements.
  • Demonstrable high-level performance management, with experience in managing a portfolio of multiple donors.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing requirements.
  • Highly organized, close attention to detail, and ability to effectively prioritize tasks in a fluid environment
  • Excellent communication skills in both Arabic and English (written, spoken)
  • Computer skills and practice with Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. required
  • Ability to respect deadlines, multitask & deal with heavy workloads, & work punctually under pressure
  • Team-working skills; well-developed negotiation skills and ability to communicate effectively in internal and external settings
  • Demonstrable ability to work, communicate and build effective relations remotely
  • Good time management, coordination skills and ability to prioritize high volumes of work to meet tight deadlines
