Background: The Role of the Finance Assistant is to provide finance service to Khartoum Office and other field’s offices as required, addressing issues of finance and provide relevant information to meet internal and external demands. These services may include, but are not limited to, handling blank cheque, writing cheque once the pay-cycle is approved, get cheques signed by authorized signatories, processing cheque payments to vendors , , maintain soft and hard copy of financial documents (Vouchers, Journals) maintain sub ledger, entering of financial transactions into accounting system.

Duties and responsibilities: Some of the duties include but not limited to:

Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required: · Bachelor's degree in commerce, preferably in Finance / Accounting · At least 1 year relevant experience, preferably in International agencies · Strong interpersonal skills · Ability to work punctually under pressure, and in emergency situations in particular · Excellent communication skills in both Arabic and English (written, spoken) · Computer skills (word processing, Spreadsheet) are essential. · ability to work in a team environment · Basic understanding of accounting processes and procedures, Record keeping, · Ability to respect deadlines, multitask and to deal with heavy workloads · Commitment to assure quality, speed and accuracy in performing duties.
