 Duties and responsibilities:

  1. Review all financial commitments and payments for compliance and budget availability.
  2.  Process   all financial transactions in the GL.
  3.  Implement the Financial System period-end processes.
  4.  Prepare reconciliation for cash, payroll, medical, receivables and payables accounts on a monthly basis.
  5. Implementation of payroll system and timely processing of monthly payroll, period-end statutory returns and staff separation benefits.
  6. Prepare the Country Office monthly financial reports and Consolidate the Overall Country Financial Reports.
  7. Oversee Grants Agreements Documents Tracking and reconciliation in the Financial system.
  8. Preparation of Country Cash forecasts and funds transfer to Pus
  9. Perform annual physical verification of Assets in the Country Office
  10. Train  community based organizations/partners on basic financial management
  11. Facilitate in financial audit preparation both internal and external
  12. Maintain and manage all Country Office financial documents.
  13. Support to the Senior Accountant in matters relating to the general administration of the office, carrying out any ad hoc duties that the Senior Accountant directs, and stepping for the Senior Accountant on his absence.

 

 


 
 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor degree in accounting.
  • At least 5 years accounting experience
  • Well versed in computerised accounting applications
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong planning and organisational skills
  • Training/Facilitation skills
  • Comfortable with taking timely decisions in situations where information may be incomplete, based on consultation and sound judgement.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
 

Salary and Benefits:
