 Background:

Logistics and Procurement Officer is to perform the duty Working closely with the logistic manager of takes the responsibility for the, procurement and logistics functions.



 
 Duties and responsibilities:

Vehicle & generator Management:

  • Assure Vehicles regulations and guidelines, and vehicles papers and Roadworthy valid documents.
  • Supervise Drivers performance and their daily routine check of each vehicle.
  • Ensure that all vehicles are equipped, and preventive maintenance instruction.
  • Ensure that Practical action generator is always ready to function, and regularly checked and serviced with oils and filters.

Procurements:

  • Ensure Practical Actions Policies are disseminated among suppliers and service providers.
  • Assure Quotations/ Close Tenders/ Local tenders/International Tenders are in place as per Practical Action policies and regulations.
  • Ensure that Procurement Plan are received from the field on time beginning of each quarter.

Assets Management:

  • Register all Practical action Khartoum office assets , Asset tags on all registered assets and follow up to assure field are on the same page with Khartoum on asset Registration.
  • Make the physical count with finance to ensure accuracy of Asset registered, Provide Asset reports on monthly basis.

Liaison:

  • Ensure that Practical Action registration is renewed on annual basis.
  • Ensure that Customs agreement is renewed on annual basis, Technical Agreements of Practical actions are approved.

Administration:

  • In coordination with Direct Supervisor ensure that Safety and security concerns and standards are met including Building- security guards- staff safety.
  • In coordination with direct supervisor extended support required by field staff to fulfil Practical action requirements.

 
 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field study.

KEY COMPETENCES:

  • Internal and external communication skills , Database Management , Good computer skills

ESSENTIAL:

  • A High knowledge of Logistics and Procurement aspects , Resources Management 

RELEVANT JOB EXPERIENCE

  •     Proven experience in logistics & Procurements ‘minimum three years’.
