Logistics Business Partnering Manager (LBPM)

Mission is to drive the delivery of Logistics Services to comany Business Units through effective planning and coordination of logistics resources and activities to meet customer needs at optimal cost in the short, medium and longer term. The Logistics Business Partner Manager, under the direction of the Head of Logistics & Head of Operations, has primary responsibility for ensuring excellent delivery of these services to the Business Unit's he/she is partnering with.

 Duties and responsibilities:

  • Manage the Logistics Business Partners assigned to Business Units.
    • Participate as a member of the BU Management Team ensuring that all Logistics requirements are properly understood & communicated to the Logistics functions.
    • Advise BU Management on alternatives optimum Logistics Service.
    • Identify opportunities to improve logistics service and /or reduce cost and present these to BU Management.
    • Represent the interests and needs of the BU in Logistics functional meetings and reviews.


  • Ensure Logistics Services are delivered in line with requirements.
    • Ensure that SLA’s exist covering all Logistics services required by the BU and that protocols, accountabilities and decision rights are clearly defined and understood by all parties.
    • Monitor progress of all service requests according to agreed SLA, anticipating and resolving obstacles to ensure 100% compliance.
    • Ensure relevant KPIs are produced & to review & report these to BU Management, identifying issues & improvement opportunities.


  • To continually optimize the cost/service trade-off for logistics activities.
    • Ensure Logistics services are charged to the BU on a fair and consistent basis and in accordance with agreed bases.
    • Review Logistics cost reports, identify issues, anomalies & opportunities.
    • Review with the help of Finance, Logistics operational Managers & functional managers, opportunities to realign logistics Activities to reduce cost.
    • Prepare and propose Logistics Budgets and other cost control techniques to ensure logistics costs are properly managed.


  • Provide FULL 2-Way Visibility across the Business & Logistics Sections.

 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

  • University Degree is essential.
  • Ability to communicate in Arabic & English is essential.
  • Good understanding, current,& relevant experience of Logistics procedures is essential.

Functional/Technical Competencies

  • Competent with Word, Excel, Outlook and MS office suite of products.
  • Excellent phone and custom service skills.
  • Organizational and general administrative skills is a MUST.
  • Procurement, Warehouse, Logistics background is A BIG PLUS.
  • Understanding of continuous improvement.
  • Obsess over the details in order to drive a faster less expensive Import &Export options for the BU Operation.
  • Inventory controls across global sales/shipping platforms.
  • Inventory finance and accounting procedures.
