Muslim Aid

Muslim Aid is a faith-based British international charity that provides help to people who are victims of natural disasters, conflict or suffering from poverty, hunger, disease and illiteracy. It was established in the United Kingdom in 1985 in response to the drought in the Horn of Africa. Muslim Aid's Sudan Country office (MASCO) was set up in 1991 in response to the strategic need and to enable the continuation of effective aid work in the country. Currently, Muslim Aid is implementing projects in Kassala, Central Darfur and Red Sea State , Algazieera State , Gdarief State in Sudan.


 Salary: 1200 SDG will be paid in USD 178 approximately

 Duty Station: Kasala Field Office
 Closing Date: 31 March 2019

 
 Duties and responsibilities:

  • Drive Muslim Aid vehicle as per Muslim Aid Policy.
  • Reads and understands specific vehicle operation manual and operates every device in the car.
  • Reads and understands roads maps, respect all traffic laws and limits.
  • Ensure sound running of the vehicles assigned and arrange minor repairs where necessary.
  • Check oil and tires properly and keep the service vehicles clean ,polished, in flawless operating condition both inside and outside.
  • Keep track of timely car insurance renewals
  • Update monthly mileage records.
  • Maintain log book of each service vehicle on daily basis
  • Greets passengers and assists them in entering and leaving the vehicle.
  • Interacts effectively with corporate travel, security and executive protection personnel and managers.
  • Responsible from medical emergencies occurring to passengers en route.
  • Maintain and operates communications devices, emergency response and contingency equipment.

 
 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

Qualifications and experience

  • Possess a valid Sudanese driver’s license.
  • Completion of high secondary school.
  • At least 2 years of driving experience in the same field preferably in international NGO, companies & Local Institution.

 

 

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Adhere to driving laws.
  • Managing resources efficiently.
  • Ability to work individually and within a team with limited supervision
  • Excellent communication skills , ability to  handle stress.
  • Ability to meet and  interact with public and employees with tact, courtesy and discretion.
  • Excellent organizational skills a must.
  • Language requirements:  Arabic  is essential and basic communication skills  in English .
  • Commitment, Flexibility, Integrity, Objectivity, Dependability, and Emotional Control.
