General Provisions

 

In response to the company internal needs, the Procurement Assistant assists the Procurement Supervisor in sourcing out for goods and services from the right source, at the right quality, quantity, price and time.

 

A - BASIC FUNCTIONS

1.      Sourcing and timely delivery of quality materials and services at the lowest total system cost for all business requirements.

  1. Implementation of procedures & policy related to procurement purchase process.
  2. Responsible for clearing and forwarding of imports/exports of non-hydrocarbon goods and materials.
  3. Provide support to all CoB/S to acquire the needed materials & services costly and on time.
  4. Participate in the preparations of annual procurement budget.
  5. Managing contractors and ensuring that they comply with policies and KPIs. 
  6. Contribute to structural cost reduction and operational excellence through effective procurement processes.
  7. Ensure company staff comply with established procurement strategies; agreements, policies and procedures (CPPM), including compliance with accountabilities for signed agreements and centralized purchased orders (PO)
  8. Scan the market to attain best offers for goods and services requirement.

 

B- PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • 1.      Identification and execution of breakthrough cost reduction and business enhancing opportunities.
  • 2.      Management of the "Purchase-to-Pay" process - Purchase order issuing, follow-up with suppliers.
  • 3.      Adhere to perform work to fulfill principles of transparency & confidentiality.
  • 4.      Supplier Relationship Management Use of market intelligence data to select creditable vendors &suppliers.
  • 5.      Keep records, secure contracts documentations, keep systematic filing.
  • 6.      Import Management: Placement and follow-up of equipment orders with foreign suppliers, co-ordination with the clearing agent to ensure timely clearing and eventual delivery of the consignments. Follow-up foreign supplier payments.
  • 7.      Contract Management: Establishment and maintenance of valid contract register.
  • 8.      Compilation and submission of monthly Reports on spending, Capital Expenditure and Procurement Effectiveness.
  • 9.      Disposal of company assets in accordance to the policy and procedure

PRE-ENTRY REQUESTED EXPERIENCE:

 

A university degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Economics or any relevant field with at least 02 years post qualification experience in procurement & supply chain.
