The Goethe-Institut Sudan is looking for a Caretaker / Facility Manager, Procurement and Technical Events Manager

 Working 48 hours / starting February 2019.

• supervision and maintenance of the building of the Goethe-Institut Sudan office building (Alnugumi Street) and event space (Baladiya Street) including small repairs
• Supervision of the cleaning staff of the Goethe-Institut Sudan in Khartoum.
• Supervision and maintenance of technical equipment of the Goethe-Institut Sudan in and outside of the institute during events as well as proper storage and care.
• Manage procurement of technical equipment and materials for all departments-of the Goethe-Institut Sudan.
• Coordinate all printing materials for the Goethe-Institut Sudan.
• Prepare and manage the general and technical set-up and management as well as Coordination with service providers for all events of the Goethe-Institut Sudan Event Space and Office Space (includes, but not limited to sound system, screen and projector etc.)
• Other technical, logistical work according to needs.

• Verygood technical skills (computers, projectors, sound and lightetc.)
• Good handyman qualifications and understanding (e.g. electricity, water etc.)
• Good communication and management skills
• Good command of Arabic (spoken and written)
• Systematical organizational skills and attention to detail
• Independent and responsible working style
• Flexibility and the ability to work under pressure
• Team work skills
