Job Summary & Major Responsibilities:  

  • To develop, direct, and coordinate a comprehensive internal audit program and compliance review which, supports improvement of the risk management of Plan International Sudan.
  • Processes Review: Participate in the design, implementation and monitoring of all the processes required in the audit work (i.e. annual plan, standard working papers, reporting format and protocols) etc.
  • Strengthen the Risk Management processes in line with Plan International requirements through facilitation of the country risk management plan of actions, update and monitoring of the country risk register.
  • Ensure systems and procedures are in place to identify and manage risks including developing, updating and submitting countrywide risk register to the RO in line with Global Risk Management Policy, and ensuring that risks are adequately identified and treated.
  • Monitor actions taken by management in response to audit reviews, ensuring that all agreed audit actions and recommendations are accurate and timely implemented.
  • Facilitate internal and external audit missions and ensure audit follow up and action lists are addressed in a timely manner, ensure that organization learns from audits and reviews so as to continuously improve its operations
  • Child protection: Ensure that Plan’s Child Protection Policy and related procedures are adhered to in all aspects of work.

Required Experience, Skills and Knowledge:    

  • Accredited Auditor with post-graduate degree in Audit, Finance or related field,
  • Minimum Three (3) years’ experience in financial managerial position
  • Professional qualification & membership of recognized auditing qualifying institutions
  • Deep understanding of various CFU audit policies, procedures and practices
  • First-hand experience and knowledge of working in CFU and auditing
  • Excellent technical knowledge on audit, anti-fraud and anti-bribery areas as indicated by the duties above
  • Skills in supporting strategic planning and support services resourcing requirements
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills
  • Excellent negotiation and influencing skills in multi-cultural contexts
  • Strongly driven performance, vision, inter-personal skills
  • Ability to maintain positivity and calmness under pressure and in difficult situations
  • Ability to set a strong learning culture within their team and department.

Salary and Benefits:
Plan offers a very competitive salary and benefits package to its employees. The employee shall receive a gross salary of 1000 in USD. Plan also offers different allowances including health insurance, one month’s gross salary during Eid-ul Fitr, and an educational allowance (equivalent to one month’s gross salary) at the start of every school year to support the education of our staffs’ children.
