Job Summary & Major Responsibilities:  

  • The position manages finance team of whom are located in the Programme Area and Localities. The Area Finance Coordinator leads the financial services which have an average annual budget of approximately 3 Million USD).
  • Provide leadership in financial management of Plan International Sudan Darfur Area as a member in White Nile Program Area Management Team (WNPAMT).
  • Grants finance management, donor compliance and cost recovery.

Locations: One Position  White Nile ,One position North Kordofan ,One Position Kassala  

Qualifications, skills, competencies:

  • Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Financial Management, or professional qualification in accountancy international. and additional 3 years of relevant experience.
  • A BSC degree can be substituted with an additional 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience managing finances for DFID, EC, ECHO, UNDP or US Aid funded projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of BMZ and GFFO financial management rules and regulations and/or other comparable major bilateral aid grant management.
  • Experience managing grant programmes or sub-granting mechanisms involving local NGOs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Salary and Benefits:
Plan offers a very competitive salary and benefits package to its employees. The employee shall receive a gross salary of 974 in USD. Plan also offers different allowances including health insurance, one month’s gross salary during Eid-ul Fitr, and an educational allowance (equivalent to one month’s gross salary) at the start of every school year to support the education of our staffs’ children.
