The Federal Ministry of Health have health system support from GAVI, the Vaccine Alliance. Human resources for health is one of the key component to build  health system in Sudan there for GAVI support the development of career pathway is a step to insure quality of service deliver and  the sustainability and retention of health personnel .

Health care is the fastest growing employment sector, with shortages expected at all levels, from entry-level positions in direct care to positions requiring extensive graduate education and experience, career pathway is important to maximize their potential contributions as workers through continued education and training that will need to be available to them after they enter the health care workforce.

Development  of clear career pathway is expected to be conducted by international consultant with assistance by national one , international consultant will revise the national available efforts in the area, compare the national experience with regional and international experiences / standards , helps to formulate the suggested scenarios and conduct consultation workshops

Support international consultant in:

1. Provision of all needed support to the international consultant; (Avail the national documents, provide translation if needed,)
2. Coordination and assist in the in-depth interviews with all related stakeholders and focus group discussion.
3. Coordination and assist in preparation and conduction of the three consultation workshop.
4. To help the international consultant in contextualization of the suggested scenarios.

Deliverable:

Expected at end of project to provide at least two scenario of clear career pathway of medical and allied health professional aligned with civil service laws with focus on linking job career pathway with professional career pathway.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

Qualification of national consultants:

Education:

• Higher postgraduate degree in Public health or community medicine at least Master of public Health.

Experience:

• Work experience not less than 5 years with health sector review, mainly in human resources for health area.

Competencies and Skills:

1. The ability to act independently and to function well in a team.
2. Speaking English fluently, perfectly writing and reading English.
3. Good communication and negotiation skills.
4. Speaking, reading and writing in Arabic.
