SALES Engineer

Sales engineers specialize in technologically and scientifically advanced products. They use their technical skills to explain the benefits of their products or services to potential customers and to show how their products or services are better than their competitors' products. Some sales engineers work for the companies that design and build technical products. Others work for independent sales firms

 Duties and responsibilities:

  1. Learn the technical details concerning how our software works and what problems it solves for our clients

  2. Create new sales and marketing strategies that target B2B customers and positions our products as the best solutions for prospective clients

  3. Manage customer relations by soliciting and logging client feedback and evaluating the data we receive through digital channels

  4. Generate high-quality sales leads and follow up after initial meeting

  5. Identify areas where we can improve customer satisfaction and repeat business, then communicate those issues and possible solutions to upper management

  6. Set and achieve sales goals and quotas on a monthly and quarterly basis

  7. Preparing reports for head office

  8. Meeting regular sales targets

  9. Supporting marketing by attending trade shows, conferences and other marketing events

  10. Making technical presentations and demonstrating how a product will meet client needs

  11. Providing pre-sales technical assistance and product education

  12. Liaising with other members of the sales team and other technical experts

  13. Helping in the design of custom-made products

  14. Providing training and producing support material for the sales team


 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

  • Sales engineers typically need a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field. However, a worker without a degree, but with previous sales experience as well as technical experience or training, sometimes holds the title of sales engineer.

  • MUST have 4+ years of Automotive Sales engineer experience.

  • Sales experience with verifiable proof of meeting sales targets.

  • Excellent communication, customer service, and problem solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress.
