 Background:

An Organization working in Many Sectors (Primary Health Care, Nutrition, woman’s education Programmed (REFLECT) and water, Sanitation and hygiene promotion (WASH))

Report to: Meal Coordinator  

Length of Contract: One Year Renewable, with three-month probation period

Salary: Monthly Gross Salary starting range from 5833 - 6,130 SDG – with net payment in USD through payroll.

 



 
 Duties and responsibilities:

Job Description:

  • The NIPP M&E Manager will be responsible for collecting quantitative and qualitative NIPP data, ensuring that both are carried out to a high standard producing high quality reports in a timely manner with in-put from all Organization sectors, and disseminating results within Organization and to all stakeholders.  The NIPP M&E manager will ensure the beneficiaries are conversant with Organization complaint response mechanism (CRM) and report on monthly basis the feedback received from this platform. He/She will contribute to the monthly Project Indicator Tracking matrix (PITR) and work closely with the MEAL unit. The NIPP M&E Manager will also provide technical MEAL support to partners who will be trained by NTAS.   

Overall Objectives of the position:

  • Work with NIPP Technical advisor to ensure that the NIPP databases have appropriate monitoring and evaluation systems in place in line with Donor reporting requirements. Ensure reporting is carried out in a timely and effective manner with full participation of the programme teams.  This position will report both to the NIPP Manager for technical NTAS/NIPP related issues and to MEAL Co for MEAL related issues. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Support NTAS program in developing M&E systems including data collection tools and storage databases, ensuring consistency in data collection and data analysis.
  • Support NTAS programme team in planning M&E activities.
  • Coordinate with the NIPP manager and MEAL coordinator to ensure timely updating and filing of program reports and databases on shared drive;
  • Collect relevant assessments from other NGOS, UN agencies, and government departments.
  • Be responsible for accurate NIPP data in-put.
  • Conduct lessons learnt, documenting key areas for improvement / amendments
  • Ensure NIPP reports are disseminated to all relevant partners once verified and approved for distribution.
  • Ensure good coordination and communication with logistics and finance teams
  • Provide technical MEAL support to partners to be trained by NTAS on NIPP;

 


 
 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

  • Relevant post graduate course MSc/MA with strong statistical analysis component.
  • At least 3 years previous experience with INGO in similar job.
  • Previous experience of conducting nutrition, mortality and multi-indicator surveys following SMART guidelines in an emergency context.
  • Proven statistical analysis and report writing skills.
  • Ability and willingness to travel to remote locations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with a multi-cultural team with differing areas of expertise.
  • Excellent English skills.
  • Ability to speak read and write Arabic.
