 Duties and responsibilities:

Purpose of the position:

The role primarily exists to manage, control and report on all costs (CAPEX and OPEX) relating to CRE building projects. Manage and control the CRE departmental activities.

Responsibilities & duties:

 

Projects Cost Control:

  • The role primarily exists to manage, control, analyze and report on all costs (CAPEX and OPEX) relating to CRE building projects with a CAPEX value, in any given year, in excess of QAR100 million.
  • Matching invoices received from suppliers and contractors to the work performed on projects and also reconcile invoices to allocated project budgets for audit and control purposes.
  • Liaise with Finance department to reconcile the CRE database records with Finance records ensuring that timing of invoice billing and payment is the only difference.
  • Administer, maintain and update the CRE database for project cost control

 

Quality Control:

  • Develop, maintain and enhance quality standards and monitor compliance through all phases of projects for cost processes.

 

CRE Governance Activities

  • Maintain roles and responsibilities matrix for the CRE and Facilities Management teams.
  • Develop and maintain departmental standard operating procedures incorporating key operating risk controls and key risk indicators.

 

Key Performance Indicators

  • Costs recorded in the CRE for each project are 100% accurate and reconcile
  • Maintain the weekly monitoring report for CAPEX.
  • Maintain the monthly forecast report of OPEX.
  • CRE departmental procedures and controls are 100% fully documented.

 


 
 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

  • Bachelor Degree
  • MBA preferable
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in related field
  • Bilingual
  • Numeric skills
  • Computer literacy
  • Communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks
  • Flexibility
  • Teamwork and coordination.
