 Background:

OBJECTIVE OF THE JOB:

·         To manage and supervise all equipment maintenance and operation activities. Check/Inspect and analyze and to coordinate with project manager(s) to get the right equipment with the right operator(s) at the right time and to maintain high equipment availability within optimum operation cost value.



 
 Duties and responsibilities:

·         Maintain PMS program , planning & scheduling of all equipment preventive maintenance

·         Ensure timely and safe execution of scheduled preventive maintenance as per SOP to all equipment & maintain related records.

 

·         Monitor and Implement periodical preventive maintenance and proactive maintenance as required to ensure maximum availability of equipment, to reduce the downtime and cost of corrective maintenance.

 

·         Ensure booking of materials and lubricants consumed for all type of maintenance.

 

·         Coordinate with the project procurement department for the procurement of spare parts, lubricants and others Workshop materials and ensure materials availability as per the equipment target availability requirements.

 

·         Prepare and submit maintenance status reports of heavy equipment to the maintenance & operation HOD and project manager(s) on regular basis.

 

·         Maintain proper housekeeping & safety measures around the workshop area. Coordinate and work with Compliance & environment department to implement the best practices.

 

·         After completion of the scheduled maintenance, arrange to check/inspection of the equipment to ensure all required maintenance is done as per the standards.

 

·         Use In for LNBaaN System up to its full capacity vis-avis, and if necessary use other software packages for efficient operation of the unit.

 

·         Ensure adherence to standards of QMS (ISO 14001:2004) and EMS (ISO 9001:2008) and prepare records annually for auditing purpose.

 

·         To maintain high standard in safety, care of environment through total compliance of the guidelines related to quality, health & safety, environment, customer service policies as set up by the company.

·         Observe workers and work area to detect inefficient and unsafe work procedures or to identify the problems and initiate corrective actions.

·         Control and manage the operators and maintenance staff and update their records and requirements in systematical manners.

·         Check, test operators/maintenance skills and provide training programs and rise up knowledge and work capabilities.  

·         Coordinate with other service departments for the repair and maintenance of workshop facilities.

·         Implement “Cost Reduction Initiative” continuously in the unit and all aspects of work.

·         To play a major role in increasing the availability of Heavy equipment.


 
 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

·         5 – 10 Years of experience in relevant Supervisor Maintenance planning and scheduling.

·         Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with 5 years relevant experience or Diploma in Diesel Mechanics with at least 10 years of experience as maintenance coordinator.

·         Experience with preventive maintenance planning and scheduling in Caterpillar heavy equipment (earth movers).

·         Fundamental knowledge of the components of CAT engines, Bulldozers, Excavators, Compactors, Loaders and Graders, etc.

·         Have advanced maintenance and operation training courses in Caterpillar maintenance and operation system.

·         Hands on to major repair and maintenance procedures.

·         Have good knowledge in operators training programs.

·         Have good Knowledge and skills in people management programs.
