Consultant to address adolescent health needs within RMNCH

 Background:

The Federal Ministry of Health is partnering with the Global Fund to set guidelines and recommendation that to strength the case management and services of adolescent health problems

In order to achieve this goal we need to develop/adopt adolescent health package and to facilitate integration of adolescent of health within RMNCH service package and to develop and revise Standards of practices (SOPs) guidelines, norm, and protocols for national RMNCH, including counseling for HTC and TB.



 
 Duties and responsibilities:

Under the guidance and direct supervision of the Director General of child health the consultant has the following tasks:

  1. Review the health system current responsiveness to the adolescent health needs in terms of availability, accessibility, acceptability, appropriateness, effectiveness, and equity.
  2. Provide framework for the IMCI task force to assess the use, adequacy, and quality of adolescent health services at all levels
  3. Develop guidance for evaluation with comparing and contrasting the extent to which RMNCH services, settings, and providers meet the health needs of adolescents in Sudan
  4.  Review current protocols  guidelines , SOBs and  training modules targeting  the adolescent and youth including counseling for HTC and TB
  5. Provide policy brief  for the integration of adolescent health in RMNCH

 
 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

Education:

  • Advanced university degree in Medicine, Public Health.
  • Post graduate degree in public health management and or policy, or public health with emphasis in child and adolescent health is mandatory
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and Arabic language
  • Good computer skills ( Microsoft word, Excel & PowerPoint)
  • Cooperative, has a good communication skills and able to work with other members of the team.

Experience:

Relevant experience: Not less than 5 years in the field of adolescent and or reproductive or child heath.

Language Requirements:
Fluency in both written and spoken English and Arabic


Remuneration and schedule of payment

Total budget is to be paid according to the following schedule:

  1. 50% upon submission of first progress report
  2. 50% upon submission of final report
