 Background:

Job Description:

To promote and advise customers on the drilling equipment range the company offers in order to achieve agreed individual and company sales objectives while delivering exceptional customer satisfaction and to enjoy repeat sales from them.

 



 
 Duties and responsibilities:

 

1.      Product Presentation and Demonstration

 

·         Fully display features and benefits of product range to all potential customers in order to build value and desirability of the purchase

·         To analyze the client’s needs in order to advise on the most appropriate product

·         Ensure every customer receives a demo as and when requested

 

2.      Sales Activities

 

·         Generate and qualify sales leads to ensure the company and individual meet the monthly sales targets

·         Ensure a “win-win” transaction with customers by promoting the most appropriate product

·         Provide management with required reports

·         Ensure our customers are fully aware of all aspects of the product at delivery plus warranty and servicing requirements

·         Submit all quotations to customers in a timely manner and with a sense of urgency.  All quotations must be issued from the business system

·         Manage and maintain a weekly and monthly customer call schedule and provide copies to supervisor

 

·         Customer Relationship

·         To ensure we give maximum customer satisfaction by maintaining and developing customer communication

·         To give a first class rapid response to all our customer requirements

 

3.      Follow up & Referrals

 

·         To maximize potential sales from customer follow up

 

4.      Communication, Process & Documentation

 

·         Follow the company designated sales system to ensure our customers receive a professional, consistent experience which maximizes our opportunity to gain customer commitment and repeat business

·         Keep fully up-to-date with competitor’s products and offers by gathering market intelligence

·         Be aware of technological developments in the industry

 

5.      Training & Development

 

·         Be proactive in enabling business and personal growth by professional development

 

6.      Other Duties

 

·         Ensure our customers are always given required attention

·         All other reasonable duties as requested by Management

·         Observe all company health, safety and environmental instructions, act in a safe manner and avoid unnecessary risks to themselves and others

 


 
 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

·         A University degree in Engineering or related subject

·         Formal qualification in Sales

·         Industry related training

·         Pleasant and outgoing personality.

·         Customer service orientation.

·         Must be Committed, Positive and Hardworking

·         Computer literacy

·         Drilling skills and knowledge of drilling equipment

 

·         Skills and knowledge of drilling accessories

·         Good track record in corporate sales.

·         Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

·         Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in both written and spoken.

·         Ability to develop and deliver presentations.

·         Ability to create, composes, and edits written materials.

·         Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

·         Knowledge of advertising and sales promotion techniques.

·         Ability to persuade and influence others

·         5 years in a sales environment, specializing in drilling equipment and accessories
