 Background:

Business Planning Manager is responsible for collection of internal and external data, preparation of business models, forecasting and validating business assumptions.

The role focuses on leading and managing the Business Planning team and ensuring that effective services are provided on a corporate basis.



 
 Duties and responsibilities:

  • formulate strategic and business planning process
  • Prepare company short, medium and long term strategic business plan
  • Prepare company strategic plan by analysing trends and forecasts. 
  • Develop business technical and financial feasibility studies and provide recommendations
  • Define, develop and implement cross-functional business planning processes to improve business planning methods
  • Reconcile Business Plan with actual financial performance
  • Determine and execute key business initiatives that will drive business operations. 
  • Develop and implement best practices and learning plans to meet business objectives. 
  • Assist management in operations, resource management, budget, revenue accounting, etc.
  • Identify business problems and provide recommendations for improvements. 
  • Understand business direction and needs and develop solutions, roadmaps and assessment of potential business impacts.
  • To undertake such other duties of a comparable nature elsewhere in the organization as may be required to facilitate management development and service flexibility.
  • Continue to develop and implement standardized strategic planning tools to foster consistency over time  across the company
  • Oversee and complete all administrative responsibilities required by the Business Planning Department
  • Actively grow the abilities and skill of the department members through formal training programs, mentor ship and hands on learning

 

 


 
 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

  • BSc Business Administration/ Economics/ Engineering or any related field.
  • 10 + years’ experience, 5 years working experience in developing strategic and business plans preferably for agro-Industrial and Food Industry.
  • Deep knowledge of business and management principles.
  • Experience of business / service planning in a multi-functional organisation.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret financial reports and data.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
