The Assistant Security Manager works directly to the Security & Risk Manager to ensure that physical security performance is monitored, measured and reported against KGL standards, in a cycle of continuous improvement.

·         Manage a large team of both mobile and static customer facing security workforce.

·         Co-ordinate 24-hour response to all security related incidents.

·         Undertake any security investigations, liaising with external parties such as the Police as necessary.

·         Implement policies and procedures to support the efficient operation of security and provide monthly security reports and updates to the Security & Risk Manager.

·         Review and manage the selection, skill / training requirements and performance of security staff.

·         Oversee the installation of security systems.

·         Support the Security & Risk Manager in the communication of security issues across the Company ensuring that staff and stakeholders at all levels are appropriately aware of changing circumstances and specific risks.

·         Others duties as directed by the Security & Risk Manager commensurate with the role of Assistant Security Manager and including deputizing for the Security & Risk Manager on occasion.

·         A strong understanding of risk management principles and practices.

·         Proven management skills with the ability to influence, develop and motivate others.

·         Demonstrable team leadership expertise and strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.

·         Ability to remain calm and organised in unexpected, potentially threatening situations.

·         Formal qualification in Physical Security Management, or equivalent experience in commercial security (minimum of 8 years), military or law enforcement (minimum of 5 years).

·         Fluency in English and Arabic (written and oral)

·         Proficient in MS Office applications specifically Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

·         Ideally you will have experience in engaging with all levels of management and communicating complex technical issues to a range of audiences, with the ability to manage multiple complex activities simultaneously to short timescales.
