In order to develop the national program to control antimicrobial resistance, through a contract, the Directorate General of Pharmacy is seeking for LOCAL CONSULTANT with responsibilities as below:

1. Development of Detailed project plan.
2. Formulation of national program to control antimicrobial resistance through:
   1. Develop policies and guidelines to decrease the spread of antimicrobial resistance.
   2. Develop coordinated national plan for AR surveillance.
   3. Ensure the availability of reliable drug susceptibility data for surveillance.
   4. Identify interventions to prevent and control AR.
   5. Improve understanding of relationship between drug use and resistance.
3. To help on developing a system for surveillance and a culture of monitoring and guidance.
4. Set tools for monitoring and evaluation for the program implementation.

A PhD holder preferably in microbiology should be a pharmacist or any related field with experience in policy writing.
