Performs skilled complex work in the repair, maintenance and installation of heating ventilating, air conditioning and steam distribution equipment and systems

• Applies and follows the contractual obligations, GCCS’ policies and procedures.
• Follow, imply and maintain all ISO standards and requirements.
• To comply with QHSE policies and rules set by the company and to continually support the same to ensure a safe and healthy working environment.
• Work out wiring fittings, sockets and point’s.
• Carry out initial installation, known as the “first fix” – fitting wiring along wall cavities and through ceilings and floors.
• Fitting fuse boxes, circuit breakers and earth terminals.
• Mounting back boxes on walls to take plug sockets and points.
• Carrying out a “second fix” connecting wiring to sockets, switches, light fittings and appliances.
• Laying of cables connecting office equipment to power supplies and computer networks.
• Installing fire alarms and security systems.
• Inspecting and testing wiring systems and equipment.
• Fixing Faults highlighted by inspections – known as remedial repair work.
• Conduct preventive maintenance for all electrical equipment’s & machines.
• Ensure all manuals and blue prints are understood before performing any related maintenance.
• Ensure safety precautions are adhered to all times.
• Install, maintain and repair heating, ventilating, air conditioning and steam distribution equipment and systems at assigned locations.
• Thorough in mechanical as well absorption refrigeration systems.
• Perform with refrigerant’s (Freon Groups, 134A).
• Operate a variety of equipment as needed to perform work.
• Install, maintain and repair electronic pneumatic devices related to HVAC control.
• Operate various measuring and testing instruments.
• Perform brazing, soldering, and pipe fitting.
• Good knowledge in electricity & control points.
• Perform gas charging & pump down procedures.
• Handle various tools & motor controls thermostats.
• Ensure safety precautions are adhered to all times.

• Industrial Electrical/ HVAC / Air Conditioning Diploma with 2 or more years hands on experience in similar role OR 5 to 7 years of work experience in similar role within a 4 to 5 star establishment and preferably.
• Must be able to advise Quality Manager of conditions requiring corrective actions.
• Must understand regulatory compliance and be able to maintain and submit any documentation required such as HVAC maintenance logs, HVAC maintenance reports, etc.
• With current accredited Trade Test Certification.
• Must be fluent in English.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be mentally and physically fit and have the ability to work long periods.  Should be energetic and enthusiastic and willing to work under pressure to meet deadlines
