 Background:

 

Receives vendor shipments and monitors warehouse storage facilities. Completes shipments by processing and loading orders.



 
 Duties and responsibilities:

 

  • Apply and follow the contractual obligations, company policies and procedures.
  • Follow, imply and maintain all ISO standards and requirements.
  • Receives and stores food rations according to HACCP standards.  Load and unload by forklift, pallet jack or hand truck.
  • Prepares orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in delivery area.
  • Completes deliveries by driving truck or van to and from vendors or clients if required
  • Maintains truck or van by completing preventive maintenance requirements; arranging for repairs.
  • Maintains inventory controls by collecting stock location orders and printing requests.
  • Maintains quality service by following organization standards.
  • Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat; maintaining clean shipping supply area; complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Conducts daily pest control surveillance.
  • Completes reports by entering required information.
  • Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing publications.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • To comply with QHSE policies and rules set by the company and to continually support the same to ensure a safe and healthy working environment.

 
 Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

 

  • Degree/Diploma in Food Service or relevant activity
  • Logistics/warehousing  experience
  • Must be trained and certified to drive a forklift and to operate a pallet jacket
  • Teamwork, coordination, organization, planning, time management, reporting skills, inventory control, documentation skills, equipment maintenance, data entry skills, dependability.
  • Must be fluent in English
  • Knowledge of food safety (HACCP) standards desirable

 

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Person must be medical fit and have the ability to stand and work in Long periods. Must be able to lift up to 25 kilos easily without any help or assistance
